In 1870 the Flapjack becomes known as the pancake and America is changed forever.

Interesting to note that in 11AD Shrove Tuesday (pancake day) becomes the traditional way to use up dairy products before Lent… and in 1445 the all female annual pancake race began in a little town called Olney, England.

Legend has it that it was inspired by a harried housewife, arriving at the church on Shrove Tuesday still clutching her frying pan!

Now a true classic and dressed up anyway you want…
