From the Runway Radish Collection In 1870 the Flapjack becomes known as the pancake and America is changed forever. Interesting to note that in 11AD Shrove Tuesday (pancake day) becomes the traditional way to use up dairy products before Lent... and in 1445 the all female annual pancake race began in a little town called Olney, England.
